I found this while looking for an image of a go kart. I had to design my office's party outing invite-we are going go karting. There is something eerie about this image. I wonder if they are sisters.

Gatherings

Everyone's social calendar is filled this time of the year. Last night I went to S. and L's annual gingerbread building gathering. It always has a theme; this year's was a very fitting "2010 Olympics". The competition was fierce; there were Italian bobsled theme, an environmentally destroyed Whistler village, Olympicyawns and many more. My modest contribution was a minimalist recreation of the ice dancing judging scandal from Salt Lake City. With gummy bears as the corrupt judges.

Christmas Tree

I have a little tree this year. It is not really a tree, just some branches in vase with lights around them but I treat it like a miniature Christmas tree. Perhaps I'll put miniature presents underneath it. I don’t actually think I have ever had a tree. Last year, I decorated my palm plant with gold glass ornaments that I found in a thrift shop. I find Christmas tacky and over the top but I think this is precisely what I like about it.

First Snow

First day of December was celebrated with waking up to the first snow. Fresh, quiet, fluffy snow. Miss B. and I went for pho and Vietnamese coffee followed by visiting Miss K. and her cards at Toque at the Western Front. A lovely wintery day finished off with a Belgium beer tasting.
