Baked Ham


I am cooking my very first ham tomorrow for Easter dinner. Although Eastern Orthodox Easter is not until next week, we decided to celebrate it tomorrow because it is also Цветница, a Bulgarian spring holiday dating back to pagan times. Anyone who is named after a flower or a tree celebrates their name day. Tonight I did go to my friend Maia's place, who cooked traditional Bulgarian dinner and it was really nice for a change to have someone else explain the customs and tell the history of yogurt.
